Previous tax relief of EPF & Life Insurance/Takaful was up to RM6,000.00 annually. Effective from 2019, the amount has increased to RM7,000 dividing between RM4,000 and RM3,000 for EPF and Life Insurance/Takaful respectively per year. Increase in tax amount is probable due to the separation of EPF & Life Insurance/Takaful tax relief. HR Staff may adjust the limit of the Tax Relief to reflect the changes above for EPF.
